Mr. Rick Ahlborn, Product Manager for Patrick Cudahy’s Dry Sausage Department announced that Patrick Cudahy, Inc. is introducing an exciting new pizza topping – Sliced Chorizo. It will be available in food service packs by March 2008.
“ The pizza category is a large part of our business and we’re always looking at ways to continue to provide the trade with new products” said Mr. Ahlborn. “The Chorizo cooks up great and gives the pizza an exciting, interesting flavor. “ “All our market tests were extremely positive and indicated that our Sliced Chorizo is going to be warmly received by the operator, “Mr. Ahlborn added.
Patrick Cudahy’s Sliced Chorizo for Pizza will be applied to the pizza the same as pepperoni is and will essentially be the same size as well. When it cooks it chars somewhat and it has a great bite.
